Tensile Strength Composite Sandwich Constructions

The in-plane tensile strength of a sandwich structure is a measure of the strength between the substrate and the core material.

If the bond between the core and substrate is strong enough, the strength of the core can be determined.

To meet the requirements of ASTM C297, we offer a range of fixtures for this type of testing. A variety of materials, including aerospace grade,

honeycomb core, continuous core, and organic or metallic core materials, can be adhered to coupons of various sizes, which are placed on a double yoke fixture

and axially loaded at a constant rate by a lixian test machine.

The following lixian fixtures comply with ASTM C297.

2505-013, 2505-015, and S4683A.
