The friction coefficient of the material is measured by the tension test machine

The friction coefficient of the material is measured by the tension test machine
1. Tensile machine test method

Friction test is mainly to determine the coefficient of friction. A set of fixture and test method for friction test provided by Jinghui Test Machinery Factory of Jiangdu City meets the requirements of ASTMD1894. This device is to use a standard mass, coated with a rubber film (mass 202g), the sample is placed under, and placed on the platform (platform is 400X150mm smooth surface of the metal plate), one end is equipped with a very small friction pulley, a nylon rope around the pulley, to connect the press block and the tension machine sensor. When the beam is moved up at a constant speed, the sample is slid on the platform by pressing the block (the platform can be placed on the same material as the sample or a different material sheet, depending on the interface material being tested). The force measured by the tension machine sensor is the friction force F. The static friction coefficient is obtained by dividing the maximum friction force Fmax by the positive pressure (the mass of the block x the acceleration of gravity), and the kinetic friction coefficient is obtained by dividing the average of the forces within the sliding distance by the positive pressure.

2. Tensile machine test results

This tension machine method is very simple and practical to test the friction coefficient of materials, and it is also very convenient to test the relative friction coefficient between various material interfaces. Tension machine parameter setting: force sensor range is 100N; The test speed was 150mm/min. When the test length exceeds 150mm, the test ends. At the end of the test, the tension machine moves the beam back automatically.
